Founder of the executive recruitment firm, Claddagh Resources, in 1993, Peter Casey is a serial entrepreneur and globally successful Irish businessman.He has lived on three Continents; Europe, Australia and the U.S.A., and has done business in six, working with prominent industrialists, business leaders and leading business organisations.His recruitment business places high level executives with some of the world’s largest and most influential consulting and IT firms, with clients including Ernst & Young, Oracle, AVG Software, SAP and household corporate names.He has personally provided leadership consultancy to international giants like Accenture, CRH, Oracle, Tata Consultancy and Coca-Cola.Peter Casey is now Executive Chairman of Claddagh Resources, where his son Ryan Casey took over as CEO from his father in recent years. He still works closely with senior clients and provides strategic direction for the company.
A serial investor, over the last thirty years Peter Casey has invested in more than fifty businesses; successfully selling, merging or exiting investments, from technology-based start-ups in pharma and high tech sectors, to real estate.
From 2012 to 2014 he was a panellist on the RTÉ television programme Dragons’ Den. As one of the investors adjudicating business plan pitches, he mentored and invested in many Irish start-ups
Pater Casey is a published author who wrote a best-seller on one of the world’s best-kept business secrets, The Tata Group (2014). He is finalising a second book on the business, to be published by Penguin in late 2020.
