Peter Casey says, “Stop the madness! Illegal migrants equal €561 per week – while OAPs equals only €266/€277 a week.”

Midlands-North-West European election candidate Peter Casey is calling again for a “no passport – no entry” policy for Ireland.

“It’s costing our taxpayers too much money. We desperately need to preserve our culture and save our children’s future,” he said.

He added, “I’m calling on the Irish government to immediately stop any illegal immigrants who attempt to enter the country without proper documentation.

“We need to protect our borders. With or without the assistance of the UK/NI governments.”

Mr Casey believes his thinking is “very much in line with the wishes of the vast majority of Irish voters.”

“A recent poll showed that a significant 74% believe Ireland is a soft touch on immigration. We need to act immediately to end this crisis,” he stated.

According to Government figures 70% of those seeking asylum in Ireland were rejected as being fraudulent.

“It’s insane that only 0.6 percent of illegal immigrants are being deported from Ireland. The illegal migrants are costing us twice what we are paying our old-age pensioners.

He continued, “Consider this: €561 per week per illegal immigrant amounts to €29,172 per year. For 100,000 illegal immigrants, that’s almost a staggering €3 billion annually. This is taxpayers’ money – our money – that could be better spent on essential services and infrastructure. Imagine what €3 billion could do for our hospitals, (almost build one!!) our roads, and our schools. This money could be used to reduce taxes, putting more money back into the pockets of hardworking Irish citizens.

“We need a zero inward migrant policy. Unless you have a job here and can demonstrate that you are going to contribute to Irish society, we do not want you. If you have a criminal record, do not even apply.”

He is now calling for the Irish army of 7,500 troops to be encamped across the 310-mile border.

“The objective of having an army is to protect our sovereignty. We need to send a clear message that illegal immigrants can’t just walk across the border,” he said.

“We should position our troops along the border for the next 60 days. With 7,500 troops, we could put four each in a tent every 300 yards, and that would cover the entire border. It would only require 1,800 tents and would send out such a strong message. They don’t have to be armed; they just need to be there.

“We need to send the world a message, we will protect our borders.”

The businessman added, “A vast majority of these bogus asylum seekers who we are giving tents to, are young men from North Africa who have nothing to contribute to our society, but our politicians seem to be afraid to highlight this point.

“We have the technology to very quickly work out who they are and where they have come from. If over 70%, according to the government’s own figures, are not entitled to asylum, they should be returned, as per the Dublin 3 Agreement, to their first port of entry into the EU. If they are entitled to asylum, then let’s give them a work visa and tell them that we need them to put their shoulder to the wheel and get a job. Plenty of farmers need workers!

“I recently visited the Grand Canal and was speaking to a couple of them in the tents there who claimed to be from Palestine – yet they could not tell me which part of Palestine they were from when I asked them that simple question!

“It is time to stop the madness. No passport, no entry. Let’s put Ireland first!”
